Welcome to the Amherst Montessori School website. While you may get a great amount of information about our school and Montessori education from this website, the best way to understand who we are is to visit our school and observe a classroom. The Amherst Montessori School, located less than two miles south of Amherst center, is a non-profit school serving families throughout the Pioneer Valley. AMS’ children range in age from 18 months to 12 years of age. Following the Montessori curriculum, our children study in multi-age groups at three levels: Toddler, Children's House, Lower Elementary.
